Montenegro’s Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP) is preparing to introduce a fourth wireless operator into the market. According to local news, EKIP’s executive director, Zoran Sekulic, said that the tender would be announced before the end of the year, and will apparently give priority to the firms with the best technological and financial proposals.
As previously reported by CommsUpdate, Mobile Intelligence Solutions has already expressed an interest in entering the market, reportedly requesting GSM, W-CDMA, WiMAX and multichannel video and data distribution (MVDDS) licences in June this year.
